Real-World Range: How Far Can the TVS iQube Really Go?

“How far can it really go on a single charge?” is the first question in every EV buyer’s mind. When it comes to TVS iQube, a model that’s the talk of the town across India depends on  which variant you ride, how you handle the throttle, the kind of roads you travel, and even the weather. So, let’s break it down.

Charging Infrastructure

Charging can be tricky if you do not have dedicated charging spots at home. Although it’s still the most convenient option when available. Public charging infrastructure is still catching up in many areas, and since the scooter doesn’t support fast charging, that could be a drawback for those with longer daily rides.

App Functionality

The TVS iQube app offers several features, including trip history, monitoring and battery status. However, some users have reported connectivity issues, especially with features like navigation.

Comfort

The scooter’s design includes a raised floorboard to accommodate the battery placement, which may affect comfort for taller riders during maneuvers like U-turns.

Conclusion

The TVS iQube handles reasonably well. The suspension is plush and comfortable. However, this and the somewhat skewed placement of the 3 battery packs means that leaning around curves doesn’t feel as taut as balanced. Low speed ride is pretty good. Here’s a list of Pros and cons.

Pros

  • Comfortable riding position
  • Good suspension
  • Good pillion ride experience
  • Decent-sized mirrors
  • Good sales and service experience
  • Wide footboard
  • Enough storage space
  • Proven until now with no major issues
  • Decent Range
  • Normal mode is more than adequate for city riding
  • 12-inch front and rear tires (with a caveat)

Cons

  • Range could have been more (at least 40% more)
  • Color options would have been nice
  • No fast charging
  • Quality is par for the course but could have been better
